"I placed it in the chicken pen a week or so ago where we have a problem with rats. We have 6 chickens and 4 ducks and rats are around during the day. The council have been putting poison down for the past 6 months. Yesterday I saw a rat run towards the repeller and knock it over. In an old greenhouse with the door open I have 2 metal dustbins with chicken food in. Squirrels take the lids off even they're jammed under a bench. The repeller is about 5 metres away but the squirrels are undeterred. I'm reluctant to turn the sound up any more as we have a cat and dogs."

Placed the repeller for three days, no sign on third day so switched it off and it has not been needed again. "Ok, so it works to a point, the rat avoids it. I am now moving it around the garden so hopefully he will get fed up and leave! It certainly has an effect on next doors' cat! Am thinking of this more as a preventative measure, I am hoping to catch ratty in a live trap, am lulling him into a false sense of security for a few days by not setting he trap, he is having mini doughnuts and peanut butter, then will set trap and see if I can get him. But back to the repeller, it does do what it says, I have seen it in action, it repels."

"We did n't see one rat after placing the instrument strategically in front of the run ! Our neighbour also had the same problem with rats so they also bought the same repellent & had the same sucess !! The degree of sucess depends pointing the instrument in the right place i.e ; aprox 2 to 3 ft facing the run."

"Bought to repel rat in garden from bird feeders. It does this but rat is trying to find way around it by approaching via planted areas and moving through open areas quickly. Hopefully will eventually give up totally and seek elsewhere. So note that this will only be effective if pest can not find a covered route to where you want to protect. Obvious I know but limits the effectiveness of the sensor."

"I purchased the outdoor pest repeller device a few weeks ago and it functions fine (i.e. it emits the ultra sound every time there is a motion in front of it). However, the device simply had no effect on neither rats nor foxes. I saw a rat in daylight running happily under the device back and forth. I also saw traces or foxes in the garden after the installation of the device so they didn't seem to be bothered by it neither. All I could say is that I had to go back to the more traditional services provided by pest control services with poison rat boxes etc. kind regards "

"We bought the outdoor pest repeller because a large family of rats were living in, and demolishing our garden compost bins. Their nests had spread out in a wide circle around the bins, with undergound tunnels all through our veg patch. The repeller has been in place for about 3 weeks now, and absolutely no activity has been seen in that time. As we also have mice in the garage, and log store, we will be moving it around. Very pleased to have solved a long-standing problem."

"I bought this a couple of weeks ago. The delivery and help from the company was good. The jury is still out on the product I am afraid. Simply put, the siting of the product is difficult to cover a very small area. It has to be at the main activity area but the beam is narrow and thin so it cant cover the area. Would like to be more positive but not yet."

"Dear Primrose, At the moment the rat repeller does not seem to be doing its job. This morning I went into my feed room and the rats had eaten through plastic feed bags. I have now re-arranged the feed room putting most of the bags into an old freezer but had to leave 3 on the top of the freezer as had no room inside.
